“My dog barks at me when I’m in the kitchen doing things like making a cup of tea. I ask her to leave the kitchen and stand on the other side of a dog gate where she can still see me. She gets a reward when the barking stops. She’s beginning to respond to the training. I’ve tried just about everything else except punishment. I don’t intend to try that. It has no place in dog training.”
